jkboard is a free, browser-based note board: notes on an infinite canvas, connected by lines, arrows and dashes, saved in an open .jk (XML) file. No account is required.
1. Acceptance
By using jkboard (“the Application”) you accept these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please stop using the Application.
2. The service
The Application lets you create, edit, search, version, lock, import and export boards of notes. The board you edit is saved in a file by the jkboard server that delivers the page (see the Privacy Policy).
3. Free access, Basic and Premium
jkboard is free. It has two display modes, Premium (no advertising, the default) and Basic (an advertising space supports the project). Both give access to the same features — see Basic / Premium.
4. Your content
The notes you write remain yours. JK Design does not claim any right over them. You are responsible for what you write and store and for having the right to use it (see the Copyright Notice). Do not use jkboard to store or distribute unlawful content.
5. Intellectual property
The Application — its code, interface and assets — is the property of JK Design. Unauthorised reproduction or redistribution is prohibited. The .jk file format is open: you may read and write .jk files with any tool.
6. No warranty, limitation of liability
The Application is provided “as is”, without warranty. JK Design is not liable for data loss or for any direct or indirect damage arising from its use. Keep your own backups: use Export and the Versions menu regularly.
7. Changes
These Terms may be updated at any time; continuing to use the Application means you accept the new version. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page.
8. Governing law
These Terms are governed by French law. Courts of France have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer-protection rules.
