1. What is stored, and where
Your board. The text, position, colour and links of your notes are sent by your browser to the jkboard server that serves the page and are saved there in a single .jk file (and its automatic versions). If you run jkboard yourself, that file stays on your own machine. We do not read, analyse or share boards.
In your browser. jkboard keeps a few items in your browser’s local storage (never sent to anyone): an unsaved draft, selection, zoom, theme, language, the Premium / Basic choice and your cookie choice. You can erase them at any time in your browser settings.
2. Advertising (Basic mode only)
In Premium mode (the default) no advertising script is loaded at all. In Basic mode, jkboard loads Google AdSense after your consent choice (a consent drawer is shown in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Norway). Google may use cookies to serve and measure ads — see Google’s Privacy Policy and Google Ad Settings. The “consent” link under the ads reopens your choices.
3. Fonts, analytics
jkboard uses your system fonts: no font service is called. No audience-measurement script is active in this version.
4. Support button
The ✏️ button opens an external Stripe page for an optional donation. Payments are handled by Stripe, not by jkboard; no account is created and nothing unlocks.
5. Hosting and logs
The page is delivered by a web host (see the Legal Notice); like any web server it may keep technical logs (IP address, request) for security for a short period.
6. Your rights
You may ask for access to, correction or deletion of any personal data we hold, and withdraw your consent at any time. See GDPR & Cookies or use the contact form.
7. Updates
This policy may change if the Application changes; the date above shows the last revision.
